Common questions

Which saws take a 44-7/8" blade?

Every full-size deep cut portable band saw: Milwaukee 2729, 2929 and 6232, DeWalt DCS374, DCS376 and DWM120, Makita XBP02 and 2107F. It is the industry standard length.

What blade cuts pier pipe?

The 10/14 TPI 279VP1014. Most steel pier pipe has a 3/16" to 5/16" wall, where 10/14 keeps three or more teeth in the cut without packing.

Can I use a 44-7/8" blade on a compact saw?

No. Compact and sub-compact saws take 27-3/16" to 35-3/8" blades depending on the model. A blade even 1/4" off will not tension or will not fit.
