Diamond Countersinks
ITM diamond countersinks for tile that bevel the top of a drilled hole. Four sizes, from 3/16" and 1/4" holes up to 3", used by shower door and tile installers.
Countersinking tile holes
A diamond countersink cuts a clean bevel around a hole you have already drilled in tile. The bevel lets a screw head or hardware seat properly and takes the sharp glazed edge off the hole. These four ITM diamond countersinks cover holes from 3/16" up to a 3" opening, and all four are listed for shower door work.
One bit is sized for 3/16" and 1/4" holes. The others cover ranges: 3/16" to 1-3/8", 1" to 1-7/8" and 1-7/8" to 3". Three are threaded 5/8"-11 and one has a 1/4" hex impact shank, so check that your drill or adapter fits.
Using a diamond countersink
Drill the hole first, then countersink with light pressure at a steady, moderate speed. Keep water on the bit. Diamond runs cool wet and lasts longer, and water carries the slurry away. Use rotation only, never hammer, and stop as soon as the bevel is the size you want.

Common questions
What is a countersink for in tile?
It cuts a bevel around a drilled hole so a screw head or hardware seats cleanly and the sharp glazed edge is removed. You drill the hole first, then countersink the top.
Do I use water with a diamond countersink?
Yes. Diamond tooling runs cooler and lasts longer wet, and water carries away the slurry. Use rotation only with light pressure, and stop when the bevel is the size you need.
How do these mount in my drill?
Three have a 5/8"-11 threaded mount and need a matching arbor or adapter. One has a 1/4" hex impact shank that goes straight into a 1/4" hex chuck or impact driver.
