Choosing a slow spiral drill
Slow Spiral is ITM's standard masonry drill, 46 items from 1/8" to 1". Lengths run from 4" to 24" in the sizes we list, with shank sizes from 1/8" to 1/2", so check that your chuck takes the one you order.
Sizes and packs
Anchor-size drills, such as 1/4" x 4", 3/16" x 6", 5/16" x 4" and 1/2" x 6", are also sold as packs of 25 for crews that go through them. The larger 3/4" to 1" sizes come in 12" to 24" lengths for pipe and conduit holes.
Use hammer action in brick, block and concrete. Start slowly so the tip seats, hold the drill square, and keep steady pressure. Withdraw the bit now and then to clear dust. Rather than forcing a hot bit, let it cool. For deep holes, compare the Tru-Cut fast-spiral drills.
