Choosing Stone Countertops

Everything we stock for cutting and drilling a stone countertop: sink and faucet cutouts, edge trimming, and the shaping that follows. Rated for granite, marble, porcelain and engineered stone.

Cutting and grinding. The double-sided diamond discs grind on one face and cut on the other, and flip when a side wears out. The V-groove tile blades run an ultra-thin kerf for chipless edges on porcelain. All of them thread or mount straight onto an angle grinder and run wet or dry.

Holes. The stone countertop cores are vacuum brazed with diamond on the face and the side wall, so they plunge a hole and then open it out or correct a line without binding. They have a 2-1/2" cutting depth, which clears any normal slab. Note that the cores are dry-only — and that stone fabrication shops in California have been required to cut wet since December 2023, so check your own rules before you choose.

Working safely

Cutting or drilling stone dry releases respirable crystalline silica, which causes silicosis. Use dust extraction and the respiratory protection your exposure control plan calls for, and cut wet wherever your rules require it.
