Reciprocating Saws Carbide
Four ITM MaxMetal carbide recip blades, in 6" and 9" lengths, in 5 and 25 packs. For tough metal cutting where regular blades wear out fast, including electrical work.
Carbide recip blades
Carbide-tooth recip blades are for hard or abrasive metal, where they outlast standard blades. This collection is four ITM MaxMetal Carbide blades, all with a 1/2" universal shank.
There are two lengths, 6" and 9", each in a 5 pack and a 25 pack. All four are also listed under Electricians, since electrical crews cut pipe, conduit and strut that dull standard blades.
Cutting tips
Clamp the work down and keep the saw's shoe against it; carbide is hard but brittle, and chatter chips teeth. Use steady feed pressure, not a hard push, and cut with lubricant on thick or stubborn metal. If you mostly cut light material, the metal recip blades are the everyday option.

Common questions
Why pick carbide over a regular metal blade?
Carbide teeth stay sharp longer in hard or abrasive metal. They suit work where standard blades wear out quickly and changing them costs time.
What sizes and pack counts are available?
6" and 9" MaxMetal Carbide, each in a 5 pack or a 25 pack. All have a 1/2" universal shank.
Do carbide blades chip easily?
Carbide is hard but brittle, so clamp the work, keep the shoe against it and avoid twisting or levering the blade in the cut.
