ITM
A carbide-toothed rebar cutter for when your hole runs into steel. Chuck it in an SDS-Plus rotary hammer, run it in rotation only, and it cuts through the rebar so the concrete bit can finish the hole. It is a problem solver, not a concrete bit: never use it to drill concrete. Expect a limited life: by ITM's own figures, a 1/2" cutter that meets #6 (3/4") rebar dead center may drill 5 to 10 holes at the correct speed and pressure, and it is not unusual for a cutter to cut only one bar. Rebar cutters are not warrantied for replacement or repair.
Cutting a lot of rebar? ITM's 5/8" SDS-Plus Rebar Puncher runs in rotary hammer mode, cuts about twice as fast, and is best on #5 (5/8") rebar and under.
