Wheels for Angle Grinders
Grinding wheels, flap discs, cut-off wheels and diamond blades that fit an angle grinder, in sizes from 4" to 9". Walter for metal, ITM diamond blades for masonry.
Matching a wheel to a grinder
Angle grinders do more jobs than any other hand tool, and the wheel decides which one. This collection gathers everything in the range made for them: Walter grinding wheels, ALLSTEEL TURBO flap discs and COMBO ZIP cut-off wheels for metal, plus ITM diamond blades for masonry and tile.
Sizes and fit
Start with the grinder. Wheel diameter has to stay within what the guard and the grinder are rated for, and the arbor must match: 7/8" plain holes and 5/8"-11 threaded hubs both appear here, in 4", 4-1/2", 5", 6", 7" and 9".
Hold the grinder with both hands, keep the guard between you and the wheel, and never exceed the maximum speed marked on the wheel. For blending welds and finishing stainless, reach for a flap disc; for heavy stock removal use a grinding wheel.

Common questions
What size wheel fits my grinder?
Use the size your guard and grinder are rated for, never larger. This range runs 4", 4-1/2", 5", 6", 7" and 9". Also check the arbor, since some wheels have a 7/8" hole and others a 5/8"-11 thread.
Which wheels are listed as stainless safe?
The ALLSTEEL TURBO flap discs and the COMBO ZIP cut-off wheels carry the stainless safe listing, so they suit stainless as well as steel.
Can an angle grinder cut tile or brick?
Yes, with a diamond blade. The ITM diamond blades for grinders run 4" to 7" and are listed for wet or dry cutting. Keep the cut shallow on each pass and wear dust protection.
