Perforación de agujeros
The full holemaking range: HSS twist drills in jobber, stubby, aircraft extension and Silver & Deming styles, plus step drills, countersinks, spade bits, augers, masonry, SDS and core drills. Tru-Cut, Triumph, ITM, Weldon and Titan.
Choosing the right drill
Most of this range is high-speed steel twist drills, sorted by length and shank. Jobber length is the standard all-rounder. Stubby drills are short and stiff for tight spots. Aircraft extension drills come in 6" and 12" lengths, and extra length bits run 18" and up. Silver & Deming drills have a 1/2" reduced shank so big diameters fit a 1/2" chuck.
Finishes are black and gold, black oxide or uncoated. The rest of the range covers step drills, counterbores, countersinks, spade bits, ship augers and bellhanger bits, as well as masonry, SDS and core drills. Brands are Tru-Cut, Triumph, ITM, Weldon and Titan.
Drilling tips
Match the bit to the material and lower the speed as the diameter grows. Use cutting oil on steel. Hammer action is for SDS and masonry bits only, and glass bits are rotation only. Start with a jobber length drill unless the job needs reach or stiffness.

Common questions
What is the difference between jobber, stubby and extension drills?
Length. Stubby is short and stiff, jobber is standard, and aircraft extension drills are 6" or 12" long with longer lengths available. Choose the shortest drill that still reaches.
What is a Silver & Deming drill?
A drill with a reduced 1/2" shank, often 3-flat, on a larger cutting diameter, such as 41/64". It lets a big drill run in a standard 1/2" chuck.
Are any of these bits for concrete?
Yes. The range includes masonry, SDS and core drills, which are made for masonry. HSS twist drills are for metal and wood. Use hammer action only with SDS or masonry bits, never with glass bits.
