Metal Fabrication & Welding
Drill bits, taps, end mills, countersinks, step drills and abrasive wheels for drilling, threading, milling and grinding metal. Triumph, Titan, Weldon, Walter and ITM, sold by the box or pack.
Choosing metalworking tools
Fabricators and welders need tools that cut clean and last through a shift. This collection covers 455 items: Triumph HSS drill bits and taps, Titan end mills for aluminum, Weldon countersinks, Walter abrasive wheels for angle grinders, and ITM step drills and combo drill taps.
Drilling and tapping tips
Use cutting oil on steel and run slower as the diameter goes up. Start larger holes with a pilot hole. Tap with cutting fluid and back the tap out every turn or so to break the chip. For end mills in aluminum, use lubricant so chips do not weld to the flutes.
On a grinder, check that the wheel's rated speed matches the tool, and keep the guard in place. Eighteen items here are tagged Stainless Safe, so look for that tag when the job is stainless.

Common questions
What is a Silver & Deming drill?
A Silver & Deming drill has a reduced shank so a large-diameter bit fits a standard chuck. The ones here have a 1/2" reduced 3-flat shank, which resists slipping under load.
What end mills do you have for aluminum?
Titan end mills made for aluminum: 54 square end and 49 corner radius, in 2-flute and 3-flute styles. Use lubricant so aluminum does not load up the flutes.
Which tools are suited to stainless steel?
Look for items tagged Stainless Safe, 18 in this collection. On stainless, run slower with cutting oil and keep steady pressure so the bit does not work-harden the surface.
