Magnetic Nut Setters
ITM magnetic nut setters in standard drill/driver and impact-rated versions, 1/4" up to 9/16" in lengths from 1-3/4" to 6". For driving hex screws and nuts without dropping them.
Choosing a nut setter
A magnetic nut setter holds a hex-head screw or nut on the end of the drill so you can drive it one-handed, even overhead or in a tight spot. ITM makes them in two groups. Standard nut setters are for drills and drivers. Impact-rated nut setters are for impact drivers.
Sizes run from 1/4" through 5/16", 3/8" and 7/16" up to 9/16", in lengths from 1-3/4" up to 6". Short ones are for clear access. The 4" and 6" lengths reach into recesses and hold the driver clear of the work.
Drilling tips
Use the impact-rated setter whenever the tool is an impact driver, since a standard one is not made for that shock. Match the socket size to the fastener and seat it fully before you start. Run at moderate speed and keep the setter square to avoid rounding the head. See the impact-rated group for impact work.
