Choosing a Tru-Cut bellhanger
These are Tru-Cut stiff-shank bellhangers, 24 items in all. Diameters run from 3/16" up to 7/8", with lengths from 12" to 48", so there is a size for small cable holes and for larger conduit runs. Most titles read "HSS Stiff-Shank Bellhanger", and one is marked C Steel, so check the title for the material on the bit you are ordering.
Drilling tips
Steady, light pressure at moderate speed gets the best life from a long, thin bit. Forcing it heats the bit and bends it. Keep the drill square to the work so the bit does not wander, and pull out every few inches to clear chips.
Match the bit to the hole: the smaller diameters suit single cables, while the larger ones, such as 5/8" x 24" or 7/8" x 18", suit bigger bundles or conduit. If you would rather drill from an opening at an angle, the flex auger bits bend where a stiff bit cannot.

Is this carbon steel or HSS?
The collection name says carbon steel, but most titles say HSS Stiff-Shank Bellhanger, and one is marked C Steel. Read the title for the exact material on the bit you want.
What sizes do these come in?
Diameters from 3/16" to 7/8", including 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16", 1/2", 5/8", 11/16", 3/4" and 7/8". Lengths run 12", 18", 24", 36" and 48". Not every diameter comes in every length.
Stiff shank or flex bit?
Stiff-shank bellhangers are for drilling straight through framing with a drill. If you can only reach the wall from an opening at an angle, choose a flex bit instead.
