Tile Drill Bits Diamond Countersinks
ITM diamond countersinks for tile: four bits that bevel the top of a drilled hole so hardware seats cleanly. Sized for 3/16" and 1/4" holes up to 3" openings.
Choosing a tile countersink
After you drill a hole in tile, a diamond countersink cuts the bevel that lets a screw head or hardware seat and removes the sharp glazed edge. There are four ITM diamond countersinks in this range, all listed for shower door installers.
One is made for 3/16" and 1/4" holes. The other three cover ranges: 3/16" to 1-3/8", 1" to 1-7/8" and 1-7/8" to 3". Three are threaded 5/8"-11, so you will need a matching arbor or adapter. One has a 1/4" hex impact shank.
Using a diamond countersink
Drill the hole first, for example with a diamond core bit or a carbide tile bit. Then run the countersink at a steady, moderate speed with light pressure and water on the cut. Use rotation only. Stop as soon as the bevel is the size you want.

Common questions
What sizes do the countersinks cover?
There are four: one for 3/16" and 1/4" holes, and three ranges, 3/16" to 1-3/8", 1" to 1-7/8" and 1-7/8" to 3". Pick the one that covers the hole you drilled.
Wet or dry, hammer or rotation?
Wet and rotation only. Diamond lasts longer with water on the cut, and hammer action can crack tile. Use light pressure and a steady, moderate speed.
What is the difference between the threaded and hex shank ones?
Three have a 5/8"-11 threaded mount and need a matching arbor or adapter. One has a 1/4" hex impact shank for a 1/4" hex chuck or impact driver.
