Plumbers
Bits for plumbing work, mostly from ITM and Triumph: SDS masonry bits, HSS drills for metal, core drills, hole saws and taps. For slab penetrations, hanger anchors, metal supports and larger pipe holes.
Choosing bits for plumbing work
Plumbing work means drilling concrete for sleeves and anchors, metal for straps and supports, and bigger holes for pipe. This collection has 338 items led by SDS drills and accessories (147) and high-speed drill bits (119). It also includes masonry bits, step drills, taps, countersinks, hole saws and diamond core drills.
Drilling tips
Use SDS bits in a rotary hammer with hammer action, steady pressure and dust cleared now and then. Multi-purpose bits are rotation only, so keep hammer mode off. Run HSS drills in metal at moderate speed with cutting oil. Diamond core drills run with water.
Small black oxide jobber drills are sold in boxes of 144 or 288. Check the quantity on the product page before you order.

Common questions
What is the difference between SDS-Plus and SDS-Max?
They are different shank sizes for different rotary hammers. SDS-Plus fits lighter hammers and smaller holes. SDS-Max fits heavier hammers and larger holes. The bits do not swap between the two chucks.
What do I use for metal pipe hangers and straps?
High-speed steel jobber drills, most in black oxide, run at moderate speed with cutting oil. Small sizes are sold in boxes of 144 or 288.
What do I use for a large hole through a wall?
A diamond core drill, run with water, for big holes such as 3". The range includes seven diamond core bits. For smaller sleeves, an SDS-Max bit is the alternative.
