Choosing a saw blade
This is ITM's cutting range in one place: 164 hole saws, 72 reciprocating saw blades, 17 circular saw blades, 15 portable band saw blades and 8 oscillating blades. Electricians, plumbers, HVAC crews and contractors buy from it by the pack.
Hole saws come in Bi-Metal, Carbide Grit and Carbide Tipped styles, in sizes from 3/4" up, with inch and millimetre sizes listed. The band saw blades are 44-7/8" x 1/2" bi-metal in packs of 3, and the recip blades all have a 1/2" universal shank.
Cutting tips
Start a hole saw slowly and let the teeth bite before you push. Use cutting lubricant in metal and clear the chips often. On a recip blade, more teeth give a smoother cut in thin material. Always match the blade type to the material on the label.
