HVAC
Drilling and cutting tools HVAC techs use: SDS-Plus bits, diamond and carbide core drills, hole saws, spade bits, HSS drills and magnetic nut setters. Mostly ITM, with Triumph and Walter.
Tools for HVAC work
HVAC installs mean holes through framing, block, concrete and sheet metal, then a lot of hex screws. This collection gathers the tools from the store that fit that work. Most are ITM, with Triumph high-speed drills and a few Walter items.
The biggest group is SDS-Plus bits for anchors and penetrations in masonry. For larger holes there are diamond and carbide core drills, and carbide grit hole saws for other material. Spade bits in 6" lengths and longer handle wood framing. HSS jobber drills and magnetic nut setters cover metal and fasteners.
Drilling tips
SDS-Plus bits go in a rotary hammer. Some masonry bits here are rotation only, so check the listing before you switch on hammer. Keep cutting oil on metal, run hole saws slowly and let bits cut without forcing them. For concrete openings see the diamond concrete core drills.
